After a vibrant life, Michael Sidney Gates passed peacefully on June 30, 2023 at his home in Surprise, Arizona. While a craftsman, lover of classic western movies, and race car enthusiast, no talents or hobbies could compare to the pride and joy he held for his children and grandchildren.
The second born of four siblings, Michael is survived by his older sister Jean Poulsen, his loving wife LaVerne Gates, his devoted daughters Julie Brenneise and Vikki Harper, and his creative and unique grandchildren Jillian Cuddy, Richard Brenneise, Rachel Harper and Jason Harper. He is predeceased by his father Fred Gates, his mother Vera Jacobs, and his two younger brothers, Patrick Gates and Donald Gates.
Services will be held at the Visalia Cemetery in California at a later date.
