Kenneth L. Gahner

Mr. Kenneth L. Gahner of Sun City West, Arizona passed away on March 23, 2023, in Surprise, Arizona. He was born March 19, 1949, to Theodore Gahner and Ruth Gahner in Jamestown, North Dakota.

He served in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years. Ken was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his spouse, Jean Ellen Gahner; his daughter, Ronna Marquis; his sons, Matthew Gahner, Erik Gahner, Louis Waterbury, and Ross Waterbury; his sister, Mary Lou Simonson; his brothers, Ted Gahner, Richard Gahner, and Jerry Gahner; as well as his 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.

Burial will be held at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.

The family suggests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Program.

  2. I loved Ken since I met him in 1987. I now pray for the happy repose of his soul.

  4. Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life that want you in theirs. My step dad would do anything to make me smile and who loved me no matter what! Rest in Peace Ken and thank you for loving me and accepting me as your own throughout the years! There are no words to express what you meant to me and for being the dad you didn’t have to be.
