Mr. Donald A. Wood, 79 of Sun City, Arizona passed away on May 17, 2023, in Sun City, Arizona. He was born on April 9, 1944, to Roland Wood and Arline Wood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He served in the Army from August 1968 to August 1970 as a Private E-1.
A man with many accomplishments, Donald received a Bronze Star with Valor, an OLC National Defense Service Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal while in the Army. During his long career as the Regional Sales and Marketing Manager at Hallmark Card Co., he received a 25 Years of Service Recognition Award.
He is survived by his spouse Barbara Wood; his daughter, Joanna Wood; his sons, Donald Wood, and Robert Wood, as well as his two granddaughters, Stephanie Wood, and Abigail Wood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arline, and Roland Wood.

Don was a grateful, fun-loving man. I remember wonderful, uplifting interactions going all the way back to high school. He was a devoted, faithful husband and father.
I miss my dad. He was warm, loving, sweet, funny, and gregarious. His family, my mom, friends, travel, sunsets on the ocean, trying new foods and experiences, and having deep, engaged conversations were his favorite parts of life. I knew that someday he’d die, but I never imagined how much his death would impact me. I wish he was still around.
We are very sorry for your loss. Dave and Don were good friends from grade school on through high school and stayed in touch all these years. Don composed the best Christmas letters, and we will miss those.
He may be gone from our sight, but will never be forgotten.
