Corinne Ann Redar

Corinne Ann Redar, 86, of Surprise, Arizona passed away peacefully at her residence and was called home to the Lord on February 23rd, 2023. She was born on June 22nd, 1936 in Little Falls New York to Bernard and Ann Mc Laughlin. She later moved to California with her husband Gerald where they lived for 50 years before retiring to Surprise Arizona.

A natural-born caretaker Corinne spent her life working as a registered nurse at different hospitals and then worked as a teacher’s aide at her local grade school. She loved helping people in any capacity she could.

Corinne met the love of her life Gerald Redar at just 26 years old they were married for 59 ½ beautiful years. Gerald and Corrine met in Fort Lauderdale Florida and had a one-year courtship before getting married in Corinne’s hometown of Little Falls, New York. The bond of their marriage resulted in four children, of which Corinne was exceptionally proud. Corinne was a devoted mother and loved her children more than anything in the world. She found joy in the little things that come with being a mother. She loved to plan their birthday parties, decorate with them for the holidays, especially Halloween, and she especially loved spending quality time with her kids. She was a dedicated soccer mom to her children all through their school years. She and Gerald bought a tent trailer when the kids were young and they would often go camping as a family at Lake Tahoe.

Corrine was always a smiling and happy person. While she may have been shy when you first meet her, she would open up and become very close to those she trusted. She loved to play board games and cards and was a part of the local Bunco Game Club. Corrine was also an avid tennis player and loved to travel. She made a big impact in her community, as she volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over 20 years.

Gerald and Corrine traveled to almost every corner of the world. They visited over 50 different countries during their travels but their favorite was Switzerland where they spent their days hiking and taking in all of the beauty of the numerous lakes, villages, and the high peaks of the Alps.

Corrine is survived by her husband Gerald Redar, her children Sean Redar (Anastasia Cristman) and Cynthia Olson, her sister Sandra Mc Laughlin, four grandchildren Josh, Isabell, Tegan, and Ronan, and one great-grandchild Oscar.  She is proceeded in death by her sons Mark and David Redar. Private services will be held at a later date.
