Barbara Jean (Herbert) Jost, 89, of Surprise, AZ, formerly of Wall, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 after a short illness.
Barbara was born and raised in Asbury Park, NJ. Upon being married in 1954 she moved to Wall Township, NJ, where she raised her 9 children. She was the matriarch of her family and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Lucy (Tuttle) Herbert, her sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Steve Vacchiano, and her beloved son, Philip Kwan Jost (2016). She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Wesley W. Jost, her children and their spouses, Polly (Tom) White, Penny (John) Boss, Peggy (Patrick) Dennis, Perry (Lisa) Jost, Peter (Doris) Jost, Patrick (Sharai) Jost, Pamela Jost and Paul Jost. She was the cherished grandmother of 20, great-grandmother of 22, and great-great-grandmother of 1. Also surviving are her dear nephews and nieces, her dog/companion, Skye, and other relatives and friends.

We are very sadden at losing our favorite Aunt. All of our memories of such a fun Aunt will be in our hearts forever! As much as we will all miss her, we are sure our Mom will welcome her with open arms. Remember all the good times and let those memories comfort you at this difficult time.
