Beatrice Thompson

It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Beatrice Thompson announce her passing on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in Surprise, Arizona. She was 73 years old and passed from complications due to Congestive Heart Failure.

She will be lovingly remembered by her adoring husband, James: son Michaelangelo Staggers and daughter Brina Abbato: her grandchildren: Laylonni Clarke, Leviticus Staggers, Maximus Staggers, and Genesis Staggers: siblings: Rosemary Turner, Shirley Henderson, Delaney Staggers and Rodney Staggers with countless nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Lee Anna Primm and Jimmy Staggers Sr.: siblings Colletta Owens, Jimmy Staggers Jr. and Micheal Staggers.

Beatrice was a highly talented, creative, and educated woman. She implemented the knowledge from her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science to gain a position at the Internal Revenue Service where she retired 35 years later. Throughout her career, she received numerous awards for outstanding achievements in computer programming and traveled nationally to train thousands of employees on programs she created. After retirement, she used her creativity to create her own company where she made one-of-a-kind complete wedding stationary and entitled it, “Pretty pockets by Bea,” She was known to her nieces and nephews as “Auntie B” who always provided them with numerous stories, endless snacks, side splitting laughter, and unforgettable memories. Beatrice was very loving and giving so much so that at times she gave at her own detriment. The peoples whose lives she touched are left with joys, laughter and love of her amazing ability to make people feel as special as she believed them to be. She was truly an amazing and unforgettable woman. Mrs. Beatrice Thompson will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
