Betty Sikora

Betty Toth Sikora age 83, of Surprise Arizona died October 6, 2015 in Surprise, Arizona. She was born July 28, 1932 to Michael Toth and Verona Banas in Detroit, Michigan. She served in the United States Navy from 9/1951- 6/1954 as a Yeoman.

Betty was always active in the Catholic Church. She volunteered in whatever area she was needed. After moving to Arizona she fell in love with Our Lady of Guadalupe in Aguila. Much joy was found helping her sister Emily minister to the field of workers and many others. Betty’s grandson Jason, was the light of her life. They spent a lot of time together and all those family and friends that came for a visit enjoyed Betty as a tour guide. She drove them all over state sharing information on plants and places of interest. She loved people and always had a heart to help others.

She is survived by her two children Susan Marie Harp, and Michael David Simmons.

Betty has one grandson, Jason E. Burson who was the light of her life. Married to Rachel with 2 great granddaughters Naomi and Ella. Betty has two step grandchildren as well.

She was preceded in death by spouse Henry C. Sikora; three brothers and four sisters.

A Mass Service will be held at 10am on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua 232 N. Tegner St. Wickenburg, AZ 85390. Interment will be in the church.
